“I would have avoided this and just passed on my debt upon my death if it wasn’t for EDCAP.” – Brenda S.

“I’ve had student loans since 2002, limiting me to the two most expensive IDR plans. As an actor, my income has been low due to COVID and the writers’ strikes. If the SAVE plan were active, I’d be just two months from IDR forgiveness. Without it, my timeline jumps to 5 years and 2 months. SAVE’s survival would mean everything to me. Still, I refuse to let this debt hold me back—I’m planning to go to grad school and explore funding options. No matter what happens, I’ll keep moving forward.”
